About us
Rooted in a passion for local food and community, Maggie Arian creates handcrafted meals that celebrate the incredible food grown at The Farm New Marlborough. What began with farmers markets and Friday Night Dinners has grown into a dedicated commercial kitchen built to bring real food to real people.
Our Story
How we started
Born and raised in suburban New Jersey, Maggie Arian developed a love for local food early on, working at farmers markets before the age of 12. After high school, she managed a large bakery in Pennsylvania, where she built a strong foundation in baking while deepening her appreciation for locally grown ingredients. Through every stage of her journey, Maggie's passion for nourishing people and building community has remained at the heart of her work.
Transitioning from Popups and Markets
After moving to the Berkshires, Maggie was introduced to The Farm New Marlborough in 2023, where she brought her passion to life by taking over the farm's beloved Friday Night Dinners. In 2025, she represented the farm at the Great Barrington Farmers Market, introducing even more people to her thoughtfully prepared meals. As her following grew, so did her vision, making it clear that it was time to create something even bigger.
The build
Today, that vision has become a reality with the transformation of The Farm New Marlborough's old farm store into a beautiful commercial kitchen. Beginning in March, Maggie worked alongside friends and family to completely renovate the space, pouring her heart into every detail. By August, the kitchen was ready—a warm, welcoming place built to serve fresh food, baked goods, and community for years to come.
